Description
As we step into early spring in February, the Asian Vegetarian Expo arrives as scheduled, providing a great experience for all those who love a healthy lifestyle, satisfying the three major desires of “eating”, “shopping” and “playing” at once. This year's exhibition brought together 300 vegetarian merchants from all over the world with more than 6,000 products, including food, drinks and daily necessities, showing the diversity of vegetarian life and allowing people to experience the beauty of vegetarian culture all at once.
Must-eats at the Vegetarian Street
Food is the most important thing for people, so how can you miss the vegetarian delicacies at the exhibition! The specialty dining area is mouth-watering, with major brands offering unique vegetarian dishes. Visitors can not only watch the preparation process of various vegetarian dishes, but also taste the delicious dishes on site. The vegetarian preserved meat rice with lotus leaf from Shanshan Workshop is a perfect combination of classic and innovation, making it unforgettable. FERM's hamburger patties and MTR's Mutter Paneer Ready To Eat curry fully demonstrate the infinite possibilities of vegetarian food in terms of taste. Woodlands’ Dahi Puri cheese potato fried rice crackers are a great snack choice, allowing people to enjoy the delicious food while also feeling the charm of Indian cuisine.
In addition to the on-site food, the coffee, tea and baking areas at the exhibition are equally exciting. There are a variety of coffee products available for purchase in the special area, such as Miss J Square Coffee's vegan coffee drip bags, C LAB ROASTERY's boutique coffee and @ONCE's latte-style Italian fresh-brewed coffee. The rich coffee aroma will make you feel refreshed. The LOMOJI Chinese herbal tea and agarwood soothing and refreshing flower tea from Taiwan, as well as the Earl Grey black tea drip bag full of Hong Kong sentiment, showcase the unique tea drinking style, which is definitely not to be missed.
Buy all the four major vegetarian products for food, clothing, housing and transportation
More than 6,000 vegetarian and green living products were displayed at the exhibition, covering the four major aspects of vegetarian life, giving visitors the opportunity to explore various options for food, clothing, housing and transportation. From Hangry Buddy’s vegetarian Hong Kong-style cart konjac noodles to sweet potato leaf vegan ham luncheon meat, all of them are attracting more and more consumers through the concepts of health and innovation. Yihe’s Korean ginseng concentrate is an ideal choice for maintaining health. Inovance Technology International Limited’s 3D printed vegetarian salmon and vegetarian smoked salmon belly are more realistic and can encourage the public to try vegetarian food.
Zeyna's Aleppo Liquid Soap from France is a high-quality choice for green alternatives in daily life, and TOUN28's Haenam 404 Peptacica Skin Cream also fully demonstrates the diversity of green living. Vegan travel groups from Suma World also offer green travel options and promote a sustainable lifestyle.
Experience green life while having fun
There are many hands-on activities prepared in the exhibition, allowing participants to learn and make things by themselves, and experience how easy it is to live a green life! This year, the Vegetarian Expo specially invited the fresh handmade beauty brand Lush to hold a number of handmade workshops to teach the audience how to make signature care products such as Blueberry Fresh Mask and Meteor Angel Facial Cleanser by themselves, to enhance their understanding of fresh beauty products and natural preservative formulas.
The "Taste Workshop" activities are equally diverse, including the "EASY Workshop on Replanting New Year Potted Plants", which helps participants understand the best time to repot and the maintenance environment, and provides on-site demonstrations on how to prune branches after flowering, use of Kale Mud organic compost to activate the soil and supplement nutrients, and repotting techniques. The "Glass Painted Cup Workshop" uses glass painting pigments to express creativity on transparent glass cups and create practical art drink cups with your own personal style. Interested friends can register online in advance. Some workshops offer early bird discounts or even free participation. Please log in to the website to register (https://www.vegfoodasiahk.com/2025-specialevent-lestyleworkshop) and be the first to experience these unique handmade activities!
The Taste of Veg sharing session and fitness workshop activities are equally exciting. Florence Wong, founder of H CUBE Ltd., will explore the science behind organic skincare and the radiance that natural ingredients can bring to the skin. Using organic brands with COSMOS Organic and COSMOS Natural certifications provides environmentally friendly solutions for healthier and more radiant skin. Internationally certified yoga instructor Wendy teaches a series of gentle chair-assisted yoga sequences, allowing beginners to master stretching movements safely and easily. Nutritionist and all-round health consultant Cecilia Lee provides nutritional advice through physical fitness assessment.
At the exhibition, the first "Hong Kong Vegetarian Charity Cooking Competition" is even more exciting. Participants from the local catering industry will create healthy and delicious vegetarian dishes. Two vegetarian celebrities in the film and television industry, event ambassador Mr. Ao Jianian and special guest Mr. Zhou Zhiwen, will share their culinary skills with the audience and demonstrate vegetarian cooking on the spot. All proceeds from the competition, after deducting costs, will be donated to the Hong Kong Public Nutrition Development Association.
Vegetarians are always worried about how difficult it is to achieve a balanced nutrition, or how difficult it is to ensure that the food is delicious and tasty while taking care of their health. You may want to learn from the "Vegetarian Kitchen" and easily master the cooking methods of healthy and delicious vegetarian dishes. The lineup of this year's "Vegetarian Kitchen" is quite strong, with culinary experts demonstrating on site and teaching how to make a variety of "home-cooked vegetarian dishes" using simple ingredients. Ms. Lu Zuanxin, Secretary of the Hong Kong International Culinary Exchange Association and Operations Director of Gooday Productions Ltd, Mr. Wu Dehua, Executive Chef of Natural Restaurant, and Mr. Ling Zhiliang, Indian Chef of Disney Hotel, demonstrated how to cook pan-fried morel mushroom snow fish rolls with vegetarian barbecued pork and Indian curry vegetables. Mr. Huang Lixian, the herbal medicine chef of Lixiantang Seafood Health Care, Ms. Zhang Huirong, the chef of Sichuan and Cantonese Restaurant, and Mr. Wu Jiawei, the founder and chef of Liumin Cuisine Skewer and Sake House, will also demonstrate sesame, mandarin duck and yam and vegetarian Hongyun lettuce wraps, providing visitors with more inspiration for daily vegetarian cooking.
This festival event that combines eating, shopping and fun is not only an opportunity to showcase vegetarian culture, but also a platform to spread the concept of green living. In this February, let us pursue a better vegetarian life together!
